Dandyano asked me to make him an iPad sleeve! He had no idea what he wanted on it or what colours or what ever so he just let me do what ever I wanted to do. This is what happens when you let me do what ever I want :’)! It’s a portait of him riding his cat through space, if that wasn’t clear enough. I painted it with acrylics mixed with textile medium on hand-dyed cotton and the lining is made out of a thick fleece-like fabric. I sure hope he likes it!

Mirjam and I love scary stuff so we love Halloween! This year we just sat on her couch, ate a lot of candy and other creepy food, played a scary board game (Atmosfear) and watched some horror movies (Nightmare on Elmstreet, The Evil Dead and The Descent). May sound a bit dull but we had a great time :)!

My brother has loved He-Man and the Masters of the Universe for as long as I can remember. When we were little he had loads of action figures and a flippin’ Castle Grayskull and what ever He-Man related junk he could get. (He still has a lot of those action figures displayed on his desk.) And as I see it as my personal job in life to give people childish junk, I made him a He-Man tie for his 33rd (!!!!!) birthday!

Do you guys remember my PPDD animal drawings? Well! You probably did not know I drew those in one of these Moleskine notebooks which I absolutely love, and, I guess you did not know most of them GLITTER either?! I have used a lot of glitter and silver and gold paint in these drawings, but my scanner didn’t really show any of it. So, I have made some pictures (some in really weird angles) so you can see some sparkles!

Menah (or Merlin, as I usually call her) is not only an AMAZING artist but one of my closest friends as well. And eventhough I feel like such a crappy artist next to her, I have to make her something for her birthday every year! This year I made her a goat bag! Not a bag to carry a goat in, but a bag with a goat painted on it, just to be clear. It may seem weird but we just really love goats!

I loooove sewing! Especially dresses. I recently made my favorite one so far, this pretty flowery one with deer buttons! I bought the fabric (maybe you remember it from this post! I used it as a background haha) at the Albert Cuyp market in Amsterdam, I guess it was pretty old because it was really dusty. So I washed it and turned into this great fitting dress. The top gets a bit poofy when I wear it, just the way I like it! I don’t like my clothes too tight (or too boring, for that matter). I’m working on a horse dress at the moment, but will update on that one later. Anyway, this new dress is a great opportunity to show you some more of the clothes I’ve sewn (I knit a lot of stuff too but that is for another post)!
